This is the personal website and blog of Graeme Eyre. This site contains information from both my personal and professional life. I am a geography teacher currently employed as a Vice Principal in a large academy in East London. I have previously been employed an Assistant Principal, Head of Humanities and Head of Geography.
I have an interest in both geographical and educational research. In particular, I am interested in human geography, the concept of place, and the educational leadership. I am also interested in the role of knowledge in the curriculum and the didactic transposition process.
I am an experienced external examiner currently assessing International Baccalaureate Geography for the IBO. I have previously examined AQA GCSE and GCE Geography and moderated Travel and Tourism portfolios for OCR. Previously I was the Geography subject tutor for Essex Teacher Training delivering the Geography Subject specialist days. I have also delivered a number of inset sessions both internally and externally, some of the materials can be found on this site.
In my personal life I am married to a very patient wonderful women, Kimberly, and we live in Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex. I enjoy camping, the outdoors, reading and running. I am also a registered yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance.
