Early this week details of a sustainable tourism competition was posted on the Tourism Concern Facebook page and website. Students have to design their own responsible holiday. I am going to do this with my Year 9 students after half term and plan to have it form the main task of our Tourism unit.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Design a responsible holiday itinerary for you and two parents/guardians to anywhere in the world. You have a limited budget of £1500 per person, and the holiday should last 8 days.
You must include the following:
- Transport from your home and back
- Daily schedule
- Transport while you’re at the destination
Then, explain why your itinerary is responsible in less than 1000 words.
