The Undercover Economist

I have just started reading ‘The Undercover Economist’; this is something that I have seen in book shops for a litle while but never brought myself. I managed to get a slightly battered copy at Tesco’s for £2.

This book is really readable and does what it said on the tin. However there is also alot of undercover geography. The book explains the reasoning behind alot of theories that are part of geographical syllabuses. This would be useful for getting student to think through the theories.

In the first chapter the author explains what is essentially the bid rent theory.

I will blog again on this book as I get further into it.
